Ingredients:

For Fish Marinate:

    1. Surmai Fish / Seer Fish
    2. 1 tsp Lemon Juice
    3. 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
    4. 1/4 tsp Salt
    5. 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

For Fish Masala:

    1. 1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
    2. 2 tbsp Rice Flour
    3. 1 tsp Garam Masala
    4. 1 tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves
    5. Salt to taste
    6. 1 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
    7. 3 tbsp Water

For Crispy Fish Coating:

    1. 4 tbsp Coarse Sooji
    2. 1 tsp Chilli powder
    3. Salt to taste
    4. Oil fr shallow frying

Method:

    1. Wash surmai fish really good and pat dry very well.
    2. Now take washed and dried fish in to a bowl.
    3. To that add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric powder and salt.
    4. Apply marinade very well all over fish pieces.
    5. Cover and set that aside for 15 mts.
    6. To make fish fry masala, take 2 tbsp rice flour in to a bowl.
    7. To that add red chilli powder, garam masala and mix well.
    8. Add salt to taste.
    9. Add tamarind pulp and mix well.
    10. Add water and mix well to make that in to a thick paste.
    11. Now take fish pieces and coat them very well and applying fish fry masala.
    12. Once all the fish are coated well with masala, keep them aside.
    13. Now take sooji / rawa in to a separate dish.
    14. To that add red chilli powder, salt and mix well.
    15. Coat fish pieces from both the side very well in to sooji mixture and keep them aside.
    16. Now heat a pan over medium high heat, add oil in to that.
    17. Put fish pieces over oil and allow it to fry till it gets deep golden color from both the sides.
    18. Serve hot
